  2. This is my favorite Chinese Hawaiian restaurant. Special Pot Roast Pork and Crispy Gau Gee Mein Cake Noodle are my two favs. I wish I knew the recipe for I may never travel again to Hawaii to sample these delights. I gained 50 pounds after I quit smoking and Kin Wah was a major conributor. I miss Hawaii so much.

  3. I love the Almond Duck w/Sweet Sour Sauce (with extra Almonds)! It’s my favortie! Even though I live out in Waipio Gentry, I would make the drive to Kaneohe when I’m craving Almond Duck. I do not dare to order Almond Duck from any other restaurant. No one make’s it like Kin Wah. I would have 2 orders to myself so that I can have leftovers to eat again the next day. Keep up the good cooking!

  4. I’ve been eating here since I was a baby. The pork with eggplant is a masterpiece. I’ve tried this dish at other Oahu restaurants, even restaurants on the mainland, and none come close. Raves also for the Chinese Chicken Salad, Ginger Chicken, Clams with Black Beans and steamed gau gee.

  8. Took a shot at copying your crisp gau gee mien. Gave up…took a shot of Jack Daniels instead.
    Probably would have been easier to fly from SFO to HNL, take the likelike freeway to kaneohe and go sit in your kitchen and watch you guys do your thing and take notes.

Just got back from a trip their and I took my youngest son who ate the chinese chicken salad, the cake noodle and the egg fu young and simply stated that they do not make food like this in Seattle! Good thing my mom and sister lives in Kaneohe which gives us an excuse to visit and dine! Aloha from the Pacific Northwest
